Mayhap we’re talking about a Windows XP-based system, for example it may be that you are disconcerted by the fact that Microsoft stopped supporting this operating system in 2014, and you’ve been made aware that your anti-virus software no longer fully protects this now-unsupported platform. The first is that you have a machine with which you are perfectly happy, but you feel obliged to upgrade this little rascal due to circumstances beyond your control. ![]() There are two scenarios that come to mind. Happily, it appears that all this has changed, at least in the case of Windows-based machines, and - after all - isn’t this the only kind that really matters?* (*Well, it is to me, because –apart from my iPad - this is the only kind I’ve got.) I don’t know about you, but I find migrating from one computer to another to be a complete pain in the nether regions.
